Itinerary

Arrival at Llançà on your own (private transfer optional). Once in the hotel, welcome meeting with a local guide who will provide you with maps and the GPS and will explain you each of the stages (welcome meeting could be day 2 in the morning)
Transfer from Llançà to Portbou where we will start our itinerary. We will take the GR92 of the Mediterranean, a fantastic itinerary that goes through Catalonia towards Valencia, sometimes along the coast and sometimes by the mountains with views of the sea. Walking through vineyards with spectacular view over the sea, we walk southwards towards the village of Colera. We continue our way towards the touristic village of Llança along the beach of Garbet Beach and Cape Ras.
Today we will go from Llança to Port de la Selva by the GR11, passing Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery. This breath-taking monument has its origin in 878, although its definitive structure is from the 11th and 13th Centuries, when it reached its highest splendour as a pilgrims centre. Once at the top, it would be recommendable to complete the ascent to the San Salvador de Verdera Castle (671m). Descent towards the Cap the Creus Natural Park to our hotel. Accommodation in the hotel.
Transfer from Port de la Selva to Cap de Creus lighthouse*. You will pass Cap de Creus, a magical place where the Mediterranean see gives way to the Pyrenees. Hit by the wind of “Tramontana”, Cap de Creus shows a lunar landscape. Arrival to Port Lligat along a picturesque maritime path surrounded by old dry stoned walls. You will pass near Salvador Dalí’s house, before descending to Cadaqués. Accommodation in the hotel. *There is the possibility to do all the way, so 23km or transfer can leave you in Tudela Natural Area and you will walk around 14km.
Day of contrasts. We will head off Cadaques through the south part of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, until we arrive to Cala Montjoi, where we will take the Cami de Ronda. From this point, the walk goes next to caves and touristic beaches with a more human scenery. Arrival to Roses.
After a good breakfast, we will leave Roses and go to Empuriabrava. This residential shore is one of the biggest and most original touristic places along the Mediterranean, with a net of navigable gridshaped canals that come up to more than 30 km of length. When we leave Empuriabrava, we will go across the heart of Aiguamolls de l’Empordá, by the GR92. The Aiguamolls is the second humid area in Catalonia and makes a privileged habitat for the fauna, specially the aquatic birds. Arrival to San Pere Pescador
End of the Hike from Portbou to Sant Pere Pescador. End of services.
